Today has disappeared. How, I’m not sure, but I’m looking at the clock in disbelief as the seconds tick away towards 11pm.
Admittedly, I did sleep in a wee bit. But I walked the dogs, did three loads of washing, did the groceries and spent just over an hour ticking something off my ‘to do’ list. But it’s heading towards 11pm and it only feels like 6pm. How does that happen???
“But what was on the ‘to do’ list?” I hear you ask. Well…….The task I have been wanting to do for probably more than two years was to take photos of the kids/teenagers/grown-ups at the local skate park. Basically, ever since I bought my DSLR I have been wanting to head down there, but nerves held me back. I actually went there today twice but got so nervous the first time I didn’t even get out of my car. How bloody ridiculous!! I’m 47 years old and was overcome by nerves. But I have my photo a day challenge and I was not going to be beaten, so I got back into my car about 7pm and went back there again.
The shot I’m including is the impetus for getting me there today. As I drove past the park to do the grocery shopping I noticed something on the skate area that was obvious and out of place. In all honesty, it stood out like dog’s balls so I thought it would be a good option for my daily inspiration. From the road it looks loke it has been spray painted on, but as you can see, it is made up of lots of yellow stickers. (somebody had too much time on their hands).
Now, this is definitely not the only photo I took today. I had a great time
