Shooting for the moon


I am known for my lofty expectations. Unfortunately, reality rarely comes close. Sometimes it’s a case of aiming too high. At other times it can be that circumstance prevents those expectations becoming reality. Or it has been right place, wrong time.

Last night, and again tonight, it was that my equipment was not enough for the task at hand.

The Supermoon.

All I wanted was a decent shot of the Supermoon. But all I have to shoot it with is my 55-200 DX kit lens which came with my original baby the Nikon D5100. I just couldn’t zoom in close enough!! Even using live view and magnifying as much as I could to manuall
